Security sources said Hezbollah forces entered areas in Syria's western Qalamoun to uncover the fate of Lebanese military personnel kidnapped by Daesh, the Arabic-speaking Sky News reported Sunday.
Earlier Sunday, the Lebanese army announced a ceasefire in its offensive against Daesh group in Jerud al Qaq and Baalbek to allow for negotiations over the release of the kidnapped soldiers.
The ceasefire went into effect at 7 a.m.
Meanwhile, Lebanese media said 13 Hezbollah fighters, who had been killed in battles in Rif Dimashq, were laid to rest.
