A senior Egyptian diplomat on Wednesday met the Israeli delegation headed by the Assistant Foreign Minister for Middle East affairs and a number of security officials during their visit to Cairo. A diplomatic source said: “During the meeting the latest options for the new location of the Israeli embassy in Cairo was discussed” mentioning that the Israeli side had found some places that were compatible with the Egyptian requirements. The location was not announced for security reasons. The source added that Egypti was examining security after Israel closed their previous embassy due to a break-in during demonstrations last September. The Israeli delegation arrived at Cairo Airport on Wednesday and was welcomed by number of foreign ministry officials.
