King Mohammed VI flew to France on Monday

King Mohammed VI flew to France on Monday for a “private visit,” according to Moroccan news outlet Alyaoum24 said. The news site reported that the monarch flew to France from the Tetouan airport following a ceremony of his 54th birthday in the Tetouan royal palace. The King’s visit comes after less than two months after his last visit to France. The monarch owns a palace in the northern French municpality of Betz. In addition to his formal visits to France and the French capital Paris, the King goes to France several times a year. Back in May, he was receieved by the former French president François Hollande, a personal friend of the King. In June, Hollande’s successor, President Emmanuel Macron, paid a two-day visit to Morocco.
