A terrorist group of more than 50 militants, who may belong  to al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, attacked a police unit in Tizi Ouzou province, according to a security source. The source said that the gunmen targeted the station on Friday, at about 8 pm Algeria time, causing fear and panic among the citizens. As a result, fierce clashes  are ongoing between security forces and the terrorists. According to the same source, there were injuries in the ranks of the security; however, no official announcement has been made so far about the losses.
