The summit explored ways of deepening the partnership and co-operation between the United States and GCC countries and reviewed what's been done since the last summer GCC-US Summit at Camp David and what more can be achieved in the coming year.
The Summit was broken into three different sessions - one on regional security and stability, one on foreign interferences and counterterrorism cooperation, and then one on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The Summit was attended by the UAE delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohamed which comprised H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Ali Mohammad Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince's Court of Abu Dhabi, Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States, and Mohammed Saeed Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
