Cairo – Akram Ali
Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi spoke in a strong voice in his speech celebrating the October 6 victory. The president condemned the attacks against Egyptian Copts in Rafah, stating: "Any attack against the Copts is an assault on me and on every Egyptian.” Morsi stressed the importance of national security and said: “We are working very hard on this. I hope we can find a solution.” Morsi added: “We are doing our duty towards the Palestinians. We support them as much as we can, but without affecting the Egyptian national security. We belong to Palestinians as much as they belong to us." He concluded his speech saying “Egyptians and Syrians are one body... and we will support them until they get their full rights. Our foreign policy is very clear, no one will ever impose conditions on Egypt again.”
