South Korea's Foreign Ministry warned that North Korea would face a "strong response" from the U.S.-South Korean alliance if what it called nuclear and missile provocations continue, Fox News reported Tuesday.
The ministry also urged Pyongyang to accept talks over its nuclear program and acknowledge that abandoning its nuclear ambitions is the only way to guarantee its security and economic development.
These developments came after firing a new North Korean ballistic missile over Japan.
North Korea threatened earlier that it would fire missiles towards the US island of Guam in the Pacific ocean, while US President Donald Trump warned that North Korea threats would be met with "the fire and fury" if it threatened the United States.
This new missile came after Pyongyang's announcement about its experiment on new type of ballistic missiles could carry nuclear warheads.
