Beirut – Georges Chahine
Renewed shelling from the Syrian side of the border targetting northern Lebanese villages was reported Tuesday at dawn. No casualties have been reported among citizens or displaced Syrians in the area. According to security sources who spoke to Arabstoday, seven mortar shells fell at dawn Tuesday in the Bakeea region and villages around the border in Wadi Khaled, which were fired from the Syrian side of the border. They added that the Syrian bombardment was due to a clash between the free Syrian army and the regime’s army in al-Areda on the Syrian-Lebanese border.
