On Thursday, a Jordanian activist group organised a sit-in in the centre of the capital Amman, demanding the release of detainees. The protesters raised slogans and chanted: \"My people who are in detention, oh  King Abdullah we want a decision, we want to free those imprisoned.\" There were huge numbers of security forces deployed onto the scene despite activists initially distributing them with flowers.
