The Sudanese government on Friday welcomed a US "positive" decision on revoking the economic sanctions imposed on the country.

The Sudanese leadership, government and people welcome the positive decision adopted by US President Donald Trump, on permanently lifting the economic sanctions imposed on Sudan, a statement by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs read.
