Sudan's President

President of Sudan Omar Al Bashir Monday met with the First Vice-President of South Sudan Taban Deng, who handed a written message from South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit pertaining to bilateral relations and advancing peace process in the region. 
Following the meeting, Deng said the meeting dealt with regional and international issues of common concern. The two sides agreed to achieve a comprehensive and final peace in the two countries and to stopping all hostile actions, he said adding that they set a 21-day period for enforcing all the agreements, resolving all security issues and the opening the border crossings.
Taban Deng pledged that his country will not be starting point for any hostile acts against Sudan, adding that Juba will urge the Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) in the north to join the peace process.
