A source in the Swiss Ministry of Finance, Olivier Long Champ, announced the Swiss government froze U.S. $340 million of the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s accounts. However, this account is too small compared to the other secret accounts, which are still unfrozen Champ also said the Swiss authorities are intensifying its efforts to find these accounts. The secret accounts belong to the former first lady, Suzanne Mubarak, and her assistants who were working in the Suzanne Mubarak International Assembly for Peace. Champ added in a letter to the general secretary for Egyptian Group of restoring public funds, Mohamed Mahsoub, the Swiss government asked the Egyptian government to present information and documents about transferring funds of the Suzanne Mubarak Assembly. He added the Swiss government enabled to gather important information about Mubarak and his family funds in Europe, which were transferred from Egypt during the past few years.
