Syria attack

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched airstrikes over the Deir Ezzor Governorate on Thursday morning, targeting the Islamic State's defenses around the provincial capital and Jabal Thardeh.
Fierce clashes erupted between IS militants and the (SAA) but no casualties have been reported so far, security sources told Arab news.  Wide scale clashes in Idlib Province between Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (Nusra), and more moderate rebel factions have been reported.
The fighter jets conducted more than 40 airstrikes over Jabal Thardeh, Al-Rashidiyah, Al-Jubeileh, Maysaloun, Jirayah and Saqr Island
With the Islamic State pinned down around Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Arab Army took the offensive against the terrorist group, attacking their positions around the cemetery and Panorama area.
According to a military source in Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Arab Army was able to seize several points in the cemetery, while also securing the Panorama Farms that were once contested by the Islamic State forces.
The Syrian Arab Army is still on the attack near the cemetery, as they look to lift the two week long siege imposed by the Islamic State on the Deir Ezzor Military Airport.
