Hillary Clinton , Donald Trump.

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton will get the first question in Tuesday morning's presidential debate with Republican nominee Donald Trump, the Commission on Presidential Elections said Monday.

The debate format would give Clinton two minutes to answer and Republican nominee Donald Trump will have two minutes to respond. This will be followed by 10 minutes of open conversation and debate, American news agency UPI reported today. Clinton's podium will be on the left and Trump's on the right.

The first debate of the election season will be moderated by NBC News' Lester Holt at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. The 90-minute, commercial-free debate will be broken into six, 15-minute segments, according to the Commission on Presidential Debates. Two segments will be devoted to each of three themes: America's Direction, Achieving Prosperity and Securing America.

The debate will include an audience of 1,000 viewers with the biggest blocks going to the two campaigns and Hofstra. The university plans to give all of its tickets to students.
