Yarmouk Hospital

The fire that broke out at the maternity wing of Yarmouk Hospital in Baghdad, and claimed the lives of 13 premature babies, had been caused by an arson and not because of a short circuit, according to the investigation Commission.
The Commission stated in a press release that the fire at the hospital broke out as a result of a petroleum product being poured deliberately near the gynecology and obstetrics department and in the premature babies room.
The fire also led to the wounding of seven other children and 29 women, and caused serious material damage to the hospital.
