The Executive President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Dr. Abdullah Abdullah stressed his country's keenness to develop trade, investment and economic relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which represents a major status in the heart of the Islamic world and enjoys a major economic components as one of the largest economies in the region and a member of the Group of Twenty (G-20), said the Saudi Press Agency.
This came during the Afghan official's speech at Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry today and his meeting with its Chairman of Board of Directors Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, members of the board and a group of Saudi businessmen and investors in the presence of members of the accompanying delegation including a number of ministers and a group of Afghan businessmen.
Abdullah said that his country is looking forward to closer ties with the Kingdom at all political, trade and investment levels so as to promote brotherly warm relations between Saudi and Afghan peoples.
He pointed out that he was keen to meet with Saudi businessmen to exchange views and ideas that push forward trade and investment relations between the two countries.
Abdullah Abdullah left Riyadh today.
