President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with St. Vincent and the Grenadines Premier Ralph Gonsalves said that independent states with cooperating with each others can provide their own interests and resist against the arrogant powers. According to the Presidential Office website on Tuesday, Ahmadinejad, who is in New York to attend the 66th meeting of the UN General Assembly, in the meeting, by referring to the excellent and expanding relations between the two countries, said that the two countries along with other independent and justice seekers countries can stand and resist against those who want to impose pressure and dominatr other nations. Praising resistant of St. Vincent against a number of bullying states, Ahmadinejad stressed that the dominant powers must understand that the time of slavery is over and nations are not going to tolerate pressures anymore. He said the main economic problem of the Caribbean countries is that their rich resources have been looted by the colonialist states and added that current human problems is that the former slave merchants took world management position. Ralph Gonsalves, for his part, said that world is facing with serious dangers and continued that a number of states by taking advantage of their own economics and military powers are trying to impose their own desire on the world, but the era for such acts has been over. He also underlined expansion of bilateral cooperation in different fields and said that his country intends to found consolidated ties with Iran.
