Cairo - Arab Today
Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit on Tuesday asserted the necessity of spreading the culture of tolerance, co-existence and patriotism.
In his speech at an international conference on freedom and citizenship in Cairo, he called on religious leaders to shoulder the role of rectifying the wrong ideas that undermine societies.
He also urged them to work for educating the young people to accept the other and recognize his right.
Abul Gheit regretted extremist ideas that have recently spread in Arab countries.
