Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb has greeted Vatican Pope Francis and Catholics in Egypt and the world on Christmas.

Heavenly religions are all about tolerance and co-existence, Tayyeb said in a statement Monday.

He wished Catholics around the world a Merry Christmas.
