The President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer al- Bashir stressed that the Sudan's deepening of its relations with Ethiopia will remain a continuous strategic goal because of the historical ties and the family's communications between the two countries.
During his address, Friday morning, to the celebration of the day of Ethiopian Nationalities, at Samra city the capital of the Afar region, the President of the Republic noted that the Sudanese- Ethiopian cooperation will reflect for the good of the two brotherly nations, and the neighboring countries.
He express gratitude to Ethiopia for its support to the national dialogue in the Sudan that had come out with an inclusive document that had been agreed upon by all the political and societal forces, and resulted in the formation of a national reconciliation government.
He continued to say that the government is still exerting efforts for achieving comprehensive peace, and the return of the sons of the homeland to contribute in its building and development, after the realization of security and stability in the states of Darfur South Kordufan and the Blue Nile.
The president pointed out that the lifting of the US economic sanctions would be of positive impact on bushing forward the relations between the two countries in all the political and economic domains, indicting will to face the challenges for the establishment of a key bilateral relations.
President al-Bashir indicated that the large and well-studied and planned projects, within specific time frame will find support and care at the highest levels to form the real bases of the economic integration that provides the model for the region and the African continent.
