The Lebanese Parliament held an urgent meeting on Friday afternoon, during which members discussed US President Donald Trump's decision on al-Quds.


Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, said that President Trump's decision reinforced naturalization and colonization and put the Palestinian people at risk.


"Those who dare to attack al-Quds are attacking the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, as well as all of Palestine," Berri said.


MPs unanimously reaffirmed their strong opposition to the decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, adding that Trump's decision was a threat to the Palestinians and to the peace process.
