Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, here today, met British Secretary of State for the Middle East and North Africa, Alistair Burt.
The meeting discussed ways to boost bilateral relations and cooperation; following up the outcomes of the Gulf-British summit held in Bahrain in December 2016 and arrangements for the upcoming Gulf-British summit. It also reviewed political developments and security situation in the region.
The British minister praised the Gulf-British relations and the need to further expand cooperation horizons in the interest of joint interests.
The GCC Sec-Gen underlined keenness to broaden cooperation with the United Kingdom in various areas, stressing resolve to continue effort to implement the outcomes of the 2016 Gulf-British summit.
