Chinese Vice Prime Minister Meng Jianzhu arrived here on Monday for an official visit to Pakistan for talks with officials here on bilateral relations and matters of regional interests . The Chinese Vice Premier will hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and other functionaries. While talking to reporters after his arrival at the airport, the Chinese Premier assured Pakistan full support in every hour of need. Pakistan, which enjoys warm friendship with China, is being pressurized by Washington to launch offensive against suspected militant elements in North Waziristan tribal agency. Recently, the US officials publicly accused Pakistan and its intelligence agency of supporting Taliban''s Haqqani network. Pakistan has denied the accusations and called them as unfortunate. The recent disturbing developments in Pak-US ties have given such a visit a new color , Although, the Chinese Vice Premier''s visit was pre-scheduled and part of Pak-China decision to celebrate 2011 as Pak-China Friendship Year .
