Visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday started a tete-a-tete session of talks at the Elysee Palace.
Macron welcomed the Egyptian president upon his arrival at the Elysee Palace after he was given a red-carpet reception at des Invalides Palace.
Talks between the two leaders will extend over a luncheon banquet held in honor of the Egyptian president and his accompanying delegation.
Following the talks, the two sides will sign a joint declaration between the Egyptian and French governments on boosting cooperation in the cultural, educational and scientific fields.
The two presidents are scheduled to hold a joint press conference to brief media on the outcome of their talks.
