Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that cooperation and coordination efforts exerted by the Islamic countries to fight terrorism is still below the desired level.
Turkish president's statement came on the occasion of his country's hosting of the 36th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Member.
Anadolu Agency (AA) quoted Erdogan as saying in this regard that the only way to combat terrorist organizations is to raise the level of cooperation and coordination between countries. The areas where Muslims live are at a sensitive stage, Erdogan said, adding that they are facing different problems all over the world.
Erdogan also stressed that his country attaches great importance to increase the volume of bilateral trade and economic relations between the Islamic countries to enhance political relations between these countries.
