Minister of State for Administrative Development, Dr. Inaya Ezzeddine, welcomed on Thursday the newly appointed Dutch ambassador to Lebanon, Jan Waltmans.


The meeting tackled the best means to bolster cooperation between Holland and Lebanon in the fields of water treatment and ways of modernizing and developing public administrations that contribute to facilitating services to citizens.


The pair discussed as well projects to support youth and women's empowerment. They also broached the means to develop mechanisms of work in municipalities and ways to provide training opportunities in the field of electronic services.


For her part, Minister Ezzeddine briefed the Dutch ambassador on the programs implemented by the ministry, especially those related to the refinement of competencies in public administrations and standards of control and excellence in the performance of institutions based on advanced standards.


In the wake of the meeting, the Dutch diplomat said, "The Minister has briefed me on all the Administrative Development activities. We plan to seriously seek ways of cooperation within the fields of water treatment, waste management, improvement of services within infrastructure projects, as well as empowerment of young people by means of honing their skills and creativity
