Foreign Ministry on Wednesday summoned Swiss charge d\' affaires to protest the US anti-Iran scenario that Iran had hired Mexican drug cartel to assassinate Saudi ambassador to Washington. The Swiss charge d\' affaires was summoned because the Swiss Embassy looks after the US interest section in Tehran. Foreign Ministry official conveyed the Islamic Republic of Iran strong protest to the Swiss charge d\' affaires, in the absence of the Swiss ambassador. The Foreign Ministry director general for north American department told the Swiss charge d\'affaires that Iran is a victim of terrorism and condemns such accusations, warning Washington against conspiring such propaganda campaign against Iran. Swiss charge d\' affaires said that he will convey Iran’s strong protest to US government and will communicate the response to Iranian government. The White House on Tuesday alleged that Iran had hired Mexican drug cartel to assassinate Adel al-Jubeir, the Saudi envoy to Washington. Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast rejected the US accusation as propaganda campaign initiated jointly by Washington and Tel Aviv.
