The General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs - Abu Dhabi - today launched a booklet on the entry permit and visa guidelines for visitors to the United Arab Emirates during its participation at the World Travel Market, WTM, which opened in London Monday.
The Directorate is participating in the world event as part of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism’s stand at the three-day exhibition for the third time running.
Directorate representatives are briefing the stand visitors on the UAE law on the entry and residence of foreigners, and answering questions regarding tourism, study and medical visa permits.
A collection of the directorate’s publications, including brochures and booklets are on display at the stand and witnessing a significant demand on the part of those wishing to visit the country.
The Directorate seeks to provide high-quality services to streamline and speed up the processing and issuance of entry permits into the UAE, Colonel Butti Khalifa Naser Almazrouei, Director of Entry and Residence Permissions Management at the Directorate, told WAM.
"The Directorate’s participation in the World Travel Market is aimed at providing a distinctive image of the UAE, including its tourist and cultural potential, and briefing potential visitors on laws and legislation regulating the residence of foreigners in the country," he added.
The UAE capital is on a tourism drive at this week’s WTM, exhibition in the UK, which opened today in London where Abu Dhabi was named "Destination of the Year" for two times in a row at its 2014 and 2015 editions.
The Department of Culture and Tourism’s presence at the global event represents a promotional push that is expected to contribute a rising numbers of world tourists visiting Abu Dhabi.
