Lebanon General Security on Wednesday received four-vehicle donation from the German Federal Police, during a ceremony held at the Directorate General's quarters in the presence of German Ambassador to Lebanon, Martin Huth, and the Representative of General Security Chief Abbas Ibrahim, General Elias Baisari. 


The German State has donated to the General Security four vehicles to be used by the General Security in carrying out its missions along the key border points in Masnaa, Arida, Abboudieh and Tripoli Port. 


In his delivered word, Ambassador Huth applauded the performance of the Lebanese security services, stressing the need for continual support. The German Ambassador described coordination with the security services as "successful", underlining constant coordination. 


Huth lauded Lebanon's surmounting challenges in the face of terrorism, pointing out that "the recent bombings in Arsal showed once again that the security situation on the borders, particularly in Syria, is still sensitive." 


General Baisari, for his part, thanked the German government and the Federal Police in the name of Major General Ibrahim, hailing Germany's stand beside Lebanon in the various fields. 


Baisari said that the Directorate General's looked forward to more international logistical support, to enhance the operational capacity and the level of performance of the General Security's officers and personnel
