German Ambassador to Egypt Julius Georg Luy highlighted the active and vital relations with Egypt.
Over the past two years, the volume of trade exchange between the two countries ratcheted up 30 percent to stand at 6 billion euros, he said.
During a ceremony held late Tuesday at the embassy's headquarters on Germany's Unity Day, he said Germany is a key trade partner to Egypt in Europe.
He said German companies contributed to creating 220,000 jobs in Egypt over the past year.
The diplomat said German businessmen are deeply interested in following up efforts being exerted by the Egyptian government to substantially improve the administrative and legislative infrastructure for foreign investors.
