Hamas expressed on Sunday dissappointment regarding the statament issued on the outcome of a recent meeting of the Arab Peace Initiative Follow-up Committee, as running counter to the current historic challenges in the Arab region. A Hamas source said, in a statement, that Arab stance does not live up to Arab expectations and hopes of the Palestinian people, which only serve Israeli occupation settlement policy and judaizing occupied Palestinian territories. Hamas also criticized Arab countries and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for not taking a decisive and firm stance regarding Israel and its aggression, calling on them to scrap the Arab peace iniative.
