Head of the Evangelical Community in Egypt Andrea Zaki met Monday an European Parliament delegation, who are currently visiting Egypt.
The members, who are from Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Poland and Cyprus, are visiting Egypt to promote ties between Egypt and the European Union within the upcoming phase.
During the meeting, Zaki hailed the role played by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to support political and social stability in the country.
He further hailed Egypt's role in confronting terrorism and extremism.
The meeting also tackled the situation in Egypt and the Islamic-Christian ties along with the ties between the various Egyptian churches.
Zaki, meanwhile, said that Egypt is currently witnessing political stability, noting that the new economic measures in Egypt are crucial to attain political stability within the upcoming period.
Talking about the Islamic-Christian ties, Zaki underlined the depth of ties binding Muslims and Christians, adding that the ties witnessed remarkable progress at all levels, especially during the June 30 Revolution.
He also pointed out to the role played by the political leadership in coordination with the Armed Forces to renovate churches, which were destroyed by terrorist acts after the dispersal of Rabaa al Adawya and Nahda sit-ins.
