His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa held, at his palace in Riffa today, a meeting with the Chechen President Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov, who is currently on a visit to the kingdom.
The meeting discussed relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Chechen Republic, and the need to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination in various fields for the common interests of the two friendly countries.
HRH Premier and President Kadyrov stressed that the regional and global developments require stepping up cooperation among countries, particularly Islamic ones.
They asserted that the way is well paved for bolstering cooperation between the two countries in various fields, and agreed to strengthen it at the bilateral level, as well as the level of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
HRH the Prime Minister was informed by President Kadyrov on the development programmes and strides witnessed by his country in various fields, praising in this regard the role played the Chechen President in enhancing his country's development and strengthening its security and stability.
Discussing the latest regional and global developments, especially those related to the affairs of the Islamic World, HRH the Prime Minister and the Chechen President stressed that Chechnya is on the right track of development and Bahrain has made advanced steps in this regard, and therefore attempts to impede their development process will not stop and they should step up cooperation between them to ensure optimal dealing with challenges.
The Chechen President expressed thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him throughout his visit to the kingdom.
He praised the advanced development strides made by the kingdom and led to its leading status in many fields, which, he said, reflects the success of the policies of the government, led by HRH the Prime Minister, in this regard.
