Director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano, received the credentials of HE Qatar's Ambassador to Austria Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani as Qatar's permanent representative to the IAEA in Vienna. 
The IAEA director general stressed the importance of cooperation between Qatar and the agency as well as the need for Qatar to benefit from IAEA's different programs within the agency's technical cooperation program. 
For his part, HE the ambassador reiterated Qatar's support for the role of the IAEA through its membership in the board of governors.
