The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) welcomes the repatriation of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit following his release from Gaza, and the transfer of 477 Palestinians released from Israeli places of detention.     ICRC welcomes exchange of Palestinian, Israeli detainees Welcoming the event, head of the ICRC delegation for Israel and the occupied territories, Juan Pedro Schaerer said, they are a source of great joy for the many families who are being reunited with their loved ones, a news release issued by the ICRC said.
