French government spokesman Stephane Le Foll has revealed that an Islamic society concerned with helping detained Muslim terror suspects had been dissolved.

In press statements Tuesday, he said the decision is is in line with the article of home security law which stipulates dissolving any society in connection with extremism or hatred.

The society, for its part, denied on its Facebook account the French government accusations. 

Months ago, the French government banned three radical Islamist groups which ran a now-closed mosque with links to the November terrorist attacks in Paris.

The groups had been dissolved because 'their leaders over the last few years had incited hatred and called for jihad', Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said.
