Israel Summons Foreign Ambassadors After U.N. Anti-Settlement Vote

The Israeli Foreign Ministry summoned on Sunday the ambassadors of the UN Security Council (UNSC), who backed a resolution condemning Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories.

The Israeli radio said ambassadors of the UK, France, China, Spain and Russia attended the meeting.

The resolution, which passed on Friday with 14 votes in support and only the US abstaining, condemned Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories as constituting a flagrant violation of the international law.
