Israel's air force hit five targets in Gaza Friday in response to increased rocket fire in recent days, an Israeli military spokesman said. The spokesman confirmed Israeli aircraft hit four tunnels and one base operated by reputed terrorists in central Gaza and struck another target in the southern tip, The Jerusalem Post reported. Several buildings were on fire in Khan Youris after the strikes but no injuries were reported, Palestinian sources said. On Thursday, the Israeli military conducted an airstrike in retaliation for a rocket fired from Gaza that exploded in the Lachish area. The Palestinian news agency WAFA said one person was injured in the strike in the eastern of Gaza.
