Japanese diplomat hails Egypt's economic reforms

The economic advisor to the Japanese Embassy in Egypt hailed the economic reforms adopted by the Egyptian government. 

In exclusive statements to MENA, the Japanese official said that Japanese tourism will return to Egypt, especially after the operation of direct charter flights between the two countries. 

The number of Japanese tourists who visited Egypt until the end of August 2016 hit about 10,000 tourists, he noted. 

Japan also offered aid to Egypt through soft loans, which reached about 6.8 billion dollars, he further said. 

The volume of trade exchange between the two countries stands at about 1.6 billion dollars, he noted.

He, meanwhile, said that Japan focuses on supporting the education system in Egypt through providing the technical support to experts and scholarships.
