"All security conditions will be combined on voting day," assured Independent Higher Authority for the Elections (IHAE) Chairman Kamel Jendoubi, calling on all citizens to turn out in large numbers on the election day given the value of each and every vote. After his talk on Tuesday morning in Tunis with interim Prime Minister Beji Caid Essebsi, Mr. Jendoubi specified that the Authority is well prepared for this event, after it finalised the different electoral stages and complied with the electoral schedule, including the registration of voters, presentation of candidacies and organisation of the campaign. Voting of Tunisian expatriates, he went on saying, will start on Thursday, October 20, and will go on for three days, pointing out that the first expatriate community to vote will be Australia's due to the time difference.
