North and South Korean officials are to meet to prepare for high-level talks aimed at easing tensions and improving difficult relations, a media report said Wednesday, according to dpa.
Officials are scheduled to meet on Thursday and are expected to fix the timing, location and content of next round of talks, the Yonhap News Agency report said, citing South Korean government officials.
Thursday's meeting is to take place on the North Korean side of the Panmunjom truce village on the border.
Tensions increased after a landmine blast injured two South Korean soldiers on the border in early August.
