Syrian Speaker of the People\'s Assembly, Mahmoud al-Abrash, on Sunday discussed with Iranian Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani, means of enhancing bilateral relations, particularly the parliamentary ones, in addition to the Palestinian issue and the latest regional and international developments. The two sides stressed the importance of the Parliaments\' role in strengthening relations between the countries and achieving more developments. Larijani stressed that the main reason behind the West\'s hostility against Syria is its support to the Palestinian people, hailing Syria\'s stances in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. Larijani criticized the Western countries\' unacceptable interference in Syria\'s internal affairs, noting that it complicates the situation in Syria. He expressed hope that the reforms proposed by President Bashar al-Assad will be implemented, and the problems in Syria will be solved through the constructive dialogue. In the same context, the 5th Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada, held recently in the Iranian capital of Tehran, reiterated support to the Intifada of the Palestinian people and to the efforts exerted for liberating the occupied Syrian Golan and all the occupied Arab territories, calling for committing to the resistance choice. In its final statement issued at the conclusion of its activities, the Conference stressed the importance of the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The statement also condemned the Israeli systematic terrorism against the Palestinian people, describing it as \"a crime against humanity\". It reiterated commitment to the Palestinian refugees\' right to return to their motherland, calling for enhancing boycott against Israel. It also denounced the US biased policy and its support to the Zionist entity, asserting that the Israeli nuclear arsenal constitutes a great risk against the region, calling upon the international community to dismantle Israel\'s nuclear weapons.
