Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday discussed over phone means of normalizing the situation in the eastern part of Aleppo.
"Continuing bilateral dialogue on Syrian problems, the heads of the foreign policy departments, in development of the Lausanne agreements of October 15, discussed ways to normalize the situation in the eastern part of Aleppo, where the government forces of Syria and Russia's Aerospace Forces announced a humanitarian pause in hostilities," the Russian ministry said in a statement.
The two ministers also discussed other urgent international problems, including the situation in Iraq and Yemen, as well as certain aspects of bilateral relations.
