Lebanese President Michel Suleiman today stressed the importance of promoting services provided for the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. He made the comments as he received a UNRWA delegation led by Commissioner-General Filippo Grandi.  He warned against the dangerous policies adopted by Israeli, citing particularly the demolishment of Palestinians' houses in East Jerusalem and building settlement units. He condemned the latest decision taken by the Israeli Government to build 900 units for settler, destroying the Palestinians' houses and making them homeless in their own country. Commissioner-General Filippo Grandi updated President Suleiman on UNRWA activities and services as well as the Palestinian refugees' plight, particularly in Lebanon. Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri discussed with the UNRWA delegation the plight of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, stressing the need to address humanitarian issues.
