A patrol of the Libyan coast guard targeted a foreign oil smuggling ship off the city of Zuwarah, according to a news website.

The Comoros-flagged ship, named Goeft, refused instructions by the coast patrol to stop, that was why the patrol opened fire at it, Al-Wasat website reported Friday.
