Kuala Lumpur - Arab Today
Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak said that his country will not sever ties with North Korea following after the hostage crisis ended.
North Korea held nine Malaysia citizens after their country refused to release the body of Kim Jong Nam, the half-brother of current North Korea President who was killed in Malaysia. The crisis came to an end after Malaysia handed over the body in exchange for the nine citizens.
Malaysia had also barred North Koreans from returning to their countries. Najib said in a statement that Malaysia would also allow North Koreans to leave Malaysia as part of the agreement. Some of those who left were suspects in the murder of Nam.
