Environment Minister Khalid Fahmy on Tuesday received a delegation of Germany's KfW Development Bank Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (German Corporation for International Cooperation).

The meeting dealt with the latest developments regarding the National Solid Waste Management Programme (NSWMP).

The two sides discussed executive procedures and challenges facing the establishment of a holding company for solid waste management, as well as proposals to benefit from waste recycling in energy production.
