Naval forces thwarted an attempt by 89 illegal immigrants to Southern European countries.

In a statement on Thursday, Military Spokesman Mohamed Samir said that efforts by the navy to secure coastal borders led to the arrest of the illegal immigrants in Alexandria city.

All legal measures were taken against them.
