Ras Jedir - Tap
Tunisian and Libyan authorities at the border crossing of Ras Jedir started, on Friday, negotiations to find a "radical and serious solution" to problems related to the management of the flow of passengers particularly on the Libyan side. Libyan passengers fired shots in the air on Friday at the border crossing of Ras Jedir on the Tunisian side to protest against the seizure of their vehicle by Tunisian authorities, military sources told TAP local correspondent. The situation was rather calm on Friday afternoon in Ras Jedir where there was a decline in the flow of passengers though no decision has been made to close this border crossing. On the road between Ras Jedir and Ben Guerdane, inhabitants of the region continue to prevent the passage of people and vehicles for the second consecutive day.
