Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, and Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary-General, have met to discuss cooperation in cultural, social and sustainable development fields between the member states of the two organisations.

During the meeting, they also reviewed issues of mutual interest, coordination and consultations between the two bodies, especially on political and humanitarian issues, combating terrorism and violent extremism.

They also discussed latest developments, at regional and international levels, the Palestinian issue, the Middle East peace process and the issue of the Rohingya community's ongoing plight in Myanmar.
